Jungle Medical Missions Uganda (JMM) is a faith-based, nonprofit medical missions organization founded in 2012, dedicated to bringing Healing, Hope & Purpose to underserved communities.

Through community medical outreaches, community hospitals, maternal and child healthcare, eye and dental services, and medical education, we work to bridge the healthcare gap and restore hope to vulnerable populations.

Rooted in Christian faith, we believe healthcare is a powerful expression of Christ’s love. We serve people of all backgrounds, regardless of faith or social status, delivering compassionate, dignified, and quality healthcare while sharing the hope of Christ through both word and action.

Global Health Fellowships and Medical Education

Beyond delivering healthcare, JMM is committed to developing the next generation of globally minded healthcare professionals through our Global Health Fellowship and Safari Programme. This immersive international programme brings together medical and allied health students, practicing healthcare professionals, and global health enthusiasts for meaningful cross-cultural learning, service, and collaboration in Uganda.

Our Student Fellowship Cohort provides medical and allied health students with supervised, hands-on learning experiences in resource-limited healthcare settings. Through community medical outreaches, hospital-based clinical exposure, mentorship, and cultural exchange, participants gain valuable insights into global health challenges, tropical medicine, health inequities, and compassionate patient-centred care.

Our Professional Fellowship Cohort offers qualified healthcare professionals opportunities for clinical collaboration, knowledge exchange, mentorship, and capacity building alongside Ugandan healthcare teams. The programme promotes mutual learning, professional development, and sustainable partnerships that strengthen healthcare delivery in underserved communities.

Both cohorts combine meaningful global health engagement with opportunities to experience Uganda's rich culture and natural beauty through a guided wildlife safari.

Building the future of Medical Education in Uganda

As part of our long-term commitment to strengthening healthcare systems, JMM is working towards transforming its community hospitals into teaching hospitals, creating centers of excellence where quality patient care, clinical education, mentorship, and professional development intersect.

This transformation will expand opportunities for training Ugandan and international healthcare students and professionals, foster collaborative learning and research, and contribute to building a skilled, compassionate, and resilient healthcare workforce equipped to serve communities with the greatest needs.

Through these initiatives, JMM seeks not only to heal the sick but also to inspire, equip, and empower future generations of healthcare professionals to carry forward a legacy of compassionate service.
