Though most people are unaware, there is a constant and cataclysmic battle waging between the Kingdom of Jesus and the Kingdom of Darkness, with the fate of billions of humans hanging in the balance. As the Nicene Creed and the Scriptures tell us, Jesus "will come again in glory, to judge the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have no end". Until then, we are locked into a war for the Glory of God and the souls of people. Healthcare disciples have an important role to play in the present battle. To do so, we must recognize the spiritual realities around us, internalize the upside-down nature of Jesus' Kingdom, and work to promote the justice and righteousness that are the foundations of His throne.
